NOBLE SQUIRES

PEEWEE TACKLE FOOTBALL 2010

 

August 16th through August 20th: Monday through Friday – Conditioning Camp – 6-8pm. Held at the Berwick Field at the end of Sweetser Street in Berwick. This camp is required, and attendees will be judged on performance in the event that tryouts/cuts are necessary.  Wear T-Shirt, shorts, and cleats (sneakers if no cleats yet).  Collection of paperwork from parents does take time, so please plan accordingly. 

Before an athlete is allowed to participate in camp/tryouts/practice, they must:

o        Submit evidence of a current (not dated more than 13 months ago) physical exam

o        Submit evidence of health insurance coverage

o        Submit signed Parental Permission & Rules Agreement Forms

Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must live within one of the towns inside the S.A.D #60 area, or attend a S.A.D. #60 school
    • Must be nine(9) years of age before November 22 and not yet thirteen(13) years of age before the first date of practice for the current season
    • Must not be in any grade higher than grade 6

August 23rd and 24th: Monday and Tuesday - Tryouts – 6:00-8:00pm, held at the Berwick Recreation Field at the end of Sweetser Street in Berwick. Wear T-Shirt, shorts, and cleats (sneakers if no cleats yet). 

Cuts are made only if the number of players exceeds the number of uniforms we have for the season.

 

August 25th – September 3rd: Monday-Friday - Practices – 6:00-8:00pm - Practices will be held every weekday at the Berwick Recreation field.  Players must be fully suited and on the field ready to begin at 6pm.

 

August 30th: Monday - Registration Fee is Due - A registration fee of $80 per player is due (make checks payable to “Noble Squires”). If more than one child in the immediate family are participating in the Squires program (Peewee/Junior High football or cheering), it is $40 per additional child after the first.  Squires’ Board members will be the ONLY people allowed to accept registration fees or fundraiser monies.  Coaches cannot collect monies!

 

September 11th: Saturday – Jamboree in Wells – 9am Weigh-ins, 10am Games Start!

September 18th/19th: Saturday/Sunday – Southern Maine Youth Football League begins

Monthly Organization Meetings: Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend the Squires monthly meeting on the second Monday of every month at 7pm.  Check the Squires website for meeting location.
