Meeting Minutes from 4/9/07
Ø Started with the reading of the minutes from the last meeting. Motion made and passed to accept
Ø Treasurer’s report: 2 bills paid: 1old, Blue Dolphin bill for Flag T-shirts in the amount of $612, and 1 new, the PO box for the league $ 65. [edit: POBox was $46 -gt]
Motion made and carried to table the report to the end of the year per By-Law

HS coaching position has been awarded, person is from out of town, no formal notification as of yet.

Cheering: - Cheering tryouts are May 22, 23, 24 – @ the JH school, times are 5:30 – 7:30 all 3 nights.
Need paperwork for tryouts and physical waiver forms
Discuss need for “alternate list” for cheering
A decision on numbers for this year and going forward will be put on hold pending how many show for tryouts. The number will be greatly influenced by the number of uniforms/warm-up suits are available.
Coaches will need to present some ideas on how many to take at next meeting. Also, whether they want to have an “alternate” list in case the numbers are more than we can support.
Ø PTO sports night will be Sunday, May 20 from 2-6pm – we will do our spring sign ups at that time. Volunteers are needed
Second sign-up night will be June 4th at the JH.
Ø Football coaches need to update the parent letter that has dates on it by the next meeting, in order to have them ready for sign-ups in May.
JH can start practice on the first Monday FOLLOWING the first Sunday in August per league rules.
Ø George handed out samples of the new and improved registration/insurance/ and rules forms. He will add some phone numbers for insurance information to the insurance form. ( Ex: Cub Care )

Jeff Adams provided dates for school physicals
as follows – June 4th & 5th for the JH and May 30th
for Noble 6/Berwick 5.
Ø George handed out the forms for the HS Football golf scramble fundraiser for anyone that was interested.

Bill Ziedh
has volunteered to be our contractor for the renovation and will perform the
work at cost.
Ø Deb provided a fund raising update – Applebee’s has already been contacted about doing the pancake breakfast again this year to raves.Tentative dates are Sept 15th for the PW and first week of Oct for the JH. Discussion involved handing out the tickets at registration.
Deb has sent out 22 letters to potential sponsors.
Cheering would like to do another bake sale and will co-ordinate this with Deb. Other ideas were throw around but nothing else was decided at this time. Will continue to work with Deb to come up with some ideas for this year.
Ø Cindy reported that the town and Berwick Youth Baseball is asking the Squires for help at the field on clean-up day. The date is April 21st, be there by 9:00am bring energy and your own rakes!
Next meeting will be May 14th , at the JH cafeteria
